Nowadays it's quite hard to imagine Tour de France without the hight altitude mountain stages. The good news is that you don't have to. As every year since 1910 Tour de France will visit the Pyrenees (also the Alps, which was visited in 1911 for the first time.
Well, luckily, Tour de France 2025 will have plenty of high ascents to climb although at the first glimpse, it seem a bit less than usual (especially in the Alps).
Anyway. In 2025, the race will visit the Pyrenees first. The second week will be dedicated almost entirely to that region of France.
However, 2025 will be a bit unusual, because 14th of July will be a Monday, therefor the first rest day will jump to Tuesday.
But after the firs rest day, from Wednesday, the peloton will spend the rest of the week around the Pyrenees (even if not every stage will be a mountain stage).
Especially important will be the stages of 12-13-14.
Stage 12 will witness a hilltop finish on Hautacam, following a mountain individual time trial on the next day (Stage 13) Stage 14 will be a classic mountain stage again, finishing on the top of Superbagnères.

HAPPENED EARLER, BEFORE THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ROUTE
As you might know, before the official route presentation usually there are rumors swirling around, people try to figure out the program from small hints in local papers.
As you can see, the rumors were almost perfectly right.
Accourding to the latest speculations, the previous rumours about Toulouse would get bigger role at next year's Tour de France seems useless.
It seems rather that Auch will be the start of Stage 11 finishing on Superbagnéres.
Stage 12 will start in Pau and end on Hautacam.
Also, it's quite possible that the 13th stage will be a mountain time trial starting from Loudenville, finishing on Peyragudes.
Earlier this week came the news that Carcassonne will host the finish of stage 14. When a stage finish in Carcassonne it's usually a bunch sprint day, thus it's possible that this will happen in 2025 too.
That could means that most likely stage 11-12-13 will be the Pyrenees stages next year.
